One of the distinct advantages of enterprise customers switching to G Suite is the power of Google’s search engine. In February of this year, Google announced the Google Cloud Search app for Android that uses machine intelligence to provide a unified search experience across G Suite. If you have a number of contacts, files, photos, docs, sheets spread across Google Drive and multiple notes in Google Calendar using the massive power of the Google search engine across all G Suite apps is an incredible advantage over other products. Can’t find that file? That’s because you aren’t using Google Cloud Search with G Suite. And now Google announced in April that Google Cloud Search is available on iOS.

Google Cloud Search (formerly known as Springboard), needs to be turned on by your G Suite domain administrator. Once turned on for your organization, Cloud Search will be accessible at cloudsearch.google.com, so you can find content across Google products, contact details, schedule-based recommendations, and more. If you have ten minutes and a G Suite account you can go through a step by step tutorial to learn how incredible this search feature is for your business. If you can remember any one word of something you can’t find, Google Cloud Search will find it for you through your entire G Suite apps! Once you have used Google Cloud Search you will wonder how you ever got along without it!

Pick up where you left off
This is one of the coolest features when you use Google Cloud Search. It brings you to where you just left off working on your last task in G Suite.

Assist Cards
When you open the Cloud Search app on your phone or laptop, you’ll see relevant information organized into simple cards (assist cards) that help you stay on top of your work. Assist cards are a new way to help you find the right information at the right time. Using Google’s machine intelligence technology, these cards can help you prepare for an upcoming meeting or even suggest files that need your attention. Assist cards are designed to be timely and relevant so that you can navigate your workday more efficiently.

Find people faster
In addition to searching for information, you can also search for people listed in your company’s directory. You’ll see colleagues’ contact details, plus events and files you have in common. You can even choose to send an email, make a call, or start a Hangout with just a tap.

Google Search — built for G Suite
Cloud Search is just like Google Search – built for G Suite. Search emails, docs, events, the corporate directory, and more. Find whatever you’re looking for, wherever it’s located.
